Garden City’s Winter Festival & 8th Avenue Grand Reopening
Join us for a night of revelry on Saturday, December 8, 2018 when we shut off 8th Avenue between 27th Street and 27th Street Road for a wonderful winter celebration. Free activities include ice skating in the middle of 8th Avenue, with free skate rentals. A horse-drawn carriage and wagon will take you for either a romantic or family fun-filled ride. Garden City restaurants will have outdoor patios to serve their famous dishes and hot toddies. Santa will be there with a unique lighted ice sculpture for pictures. Bring your own camera to capture the moment and share with family and friends. To add to the ambiance, businesses and homes in Garden City will be competing for cash prizes for the best holiday lighting.
